Important Notices for the Day
・There are no trash cans at the venue. Please take responsibility for your own trash and take it home with you.
・Please refrain from participating if you are not feeling well.
・As many children will be participating, please refrain from uploading photos or videos to the internet without permission.
・Children and parents can participate in the workshop together.
・Please wear Capoeira attire or other comfortable clothing for Capoeira and indoor shoes.
・Visiting the Roda is free.

Japanese contamporary Butoh Dancer.
Joined Byakkosha from 1980 to 1994.
In 2000, she founded the Kiraza butoh company.
2007-2016 consecutive performances at the former Gojo Rakuen Kaburenjo.
In 2018, she performed and participated in a panel discussion at the event " GINGA NZINGA III - 2018 " held by Nzinga Kyoto.
In 2020, she was announced the winner of the 2020 Agency for Cultural Affairs Arts Festival Excellence Award for her performance of "Kongoseki-Diamond-". She has pioneered her own realm through her exploration of avant-garde dance supported by the "power of tamafuri (revitalization of life)" found at the origins of Japanese performing arts.
[Satomi Shimogo]
Satomi Shimogo
(Freelance Journalist)
Born in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Graduated from Kanazawa University Faculty of Economics. After working for an information publishing company, she became a freelancer. From 1992 to 1994, and lived in a favela (slums) area on the outskirts of São Paulo and participated in childcare and educational activities for children. Since then, she has continued to cover various popular movements in Brazil, mainly in favelas in major metropolitan areas such as Rio de Janeiro and indigenous land in the Amazon. In 2005, she moved from Tokyo to the rural area of Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture in search of an agricultural lifestyle. She is also involved in activities to preserve satoyama and develop local communities.

Born in 1970 in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture and started studying at Capú Japon in 2001.
Awarded the title of Contramestre in 2010.
In 2012, he was officially appointed as the group representative and provided guidance.
In 2019, he stepped down as group representative and handed the baton to the next teachers.
Even after stepping down as representative, he continues to teach capoeira in Osaka, and is actively involved in activities that transcend the boundaries of groups and styles, such as interacting with other organizations and holding workshops.

Started Capoeira in Tokyo in 1998
Returning to his hometown of Ishikawa, he used his experience as a studio instructor at a sports gym to teach over 4,000 people.
He was the first to start a kids capoeira class in Japan and teaching at a kindergarten.
He is the only person in Japan who has introduced Capoeira into regular high school classes and is currently working as a lecturer, focusing on Capoeira and education, in order to establish Capoeira in Japan.
Promoted to the rank of semi-master in 2010. Qualified as a coach in Brazil and Russia.
He has been invited to perform, act as a judge and guest lecturer in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Ecuador, etc.
Appeared on many TV shows, including "Sukkiri"
Collaborated and appeared in the manga Batuque.
Representative of the GUETO Capoeira Japan, active in 13 cities.

He started Capoeira in Osaka in 2004. In 2008, he traveled around Brazil for half a year, learning various styles such as Contemporary, Angola, and Regional. In 2012, he was attracted to the philosophy of GUETO Capoeira and moved there with his friends from that time. He started his activities under the name GUETO Osaka and teaches a wide range of classes from children to adults. He also makes and repairs musical instruments, making use of his experience as a furniture craftsman, and is a father of three children.

She started Capoeira in 2005.
In 2008, she lived in Brazil for six months and studied Capoeira with various groups and moved to GUETO in 2012 and now mainly coaches children.
She has been exposed to music since she was a child, and the sense of rhythm she has cultivated is utilized in the musicality of Capoeira. She is a mother of three children, and is loved by the students of GUETO Osaka like a mother.

She started Capoeira in 2003.
In 2008, she went to Brazil to train and experience Capoeira.
She is always striving to improve herself, hardworking, and applies the philosophy of Capoeira to her daily life. She is kind to everyone and takes Capoeira seriously with children, which has earned her the trust and respect of the GUETO members. She has an excellent singing ability and rich repertoire.
Coaching qualifications Maternity Instructor qualifications.
In 2020, she completed the Israeli Capoeira Instructor Certification Course.
